KAPWA in action.

Y Philippine Education Project helps children in the Philippines access education, school supplies, uniforms, transportation assistance, and related support — one child, one school, and one act of kindness at a time.

Inspired by one story. Built to help many more. After a family trip to the Philippines, Yonas wanted to turn compassion into meaningful action for children who need educational support.

Our Story

It started with a trip, a guide named Silo, and a promise to do more.

During the summer of 2026, Yonas traveled to the Philippines with his family. Seeing the everyday barriers that can make education difficult — supplies, uniforms, shoes, transportation, school activities, and projects — made the need feel personal.

While visiting Bohol, the family met a local guide named Silo. His story and generosity helped inspire the idea that eventually became Y Philippine Education Project.

Kapwa

A Filipino idea at the heart of YPEP.
